Ohio Public Utility Commission Facts
Aspen, a natural gas consultant, strives to provide its customers with honest, reliable service at reasonable rates. To that end, we cooperate fully with PUCO. The Ohio Public Utility Commission (PUCO) is the regulatory body that oversees publicly provided utilities such as electric and natural gas providers, water districts, wastewater programs, phone companies, and transportation services such as trucking and railroad companies.
PUCO's job is to ensure that every utility customer in the state receives adequate, safe and fair services from mass transportation and utility providers. As an energy management consultant and brokerage firm, Aspen happily cooperates with the PUCO in all matters as required by state and federal law. This governmental body, in turn, mediates any disputes a resident or business may have with a service provider, informs utility customers of their rights under the law, and regulates any and all services over which the consumer has no freedom of choice (non-competitive, large-scale utility providers, for example).
Aspen Energy Management Consultant Services
It should be noted that Aspen is not a utility, but rather uses the same natural gas sources as your publicly organized provider. In the event of outages or equipment or service issues, utilities would still be responsible for re-establishing service and answering to the Ohio Public Utility Commission. However, we welcome you to direct questions to us here, or find answer to some of the most common concerns among our Frequently Asked Questions. Our energy management consultant professionals can answer many of your questions about natural gas and electric services.
